My Story

 Vonnie Scott—Biography

Singer/Songwriter Vonnie Scott aspires to reach a broad audience with her message of love, hope, and optimism, while offering up stirring, gritty vocals, take-notice guitar work, and lyrics to touch every listener.

Armed with a strong faith and a voice that scoffs at conventional limits, the Indiana-born artist started making waves in the Hoosier state, singing lead and back-up for various local bands. At the same time, she was providing vocals for jingles and other studio projects, honing her songwriting skills, and finishing a music degree from Butler University in Indianapolis.

Vonnie and family uprooted to Southern California to enjoy the sea, the sun, and the LA music scene.  While singing and playing with her original band, Beckon Call, in the LA clubs and coffee-houses, Vonnie also fronted the Heart Tribute band, "Barracuda".

With her faith as a consistent driving force in her music, Vonnie also began leading worship in various churches and homeless ministries in the LA, Orange County, and San Diego area.  She also began teaching vocal and guitar instruction.

Now that Vonnie Scott and family have recently located to the Dallas, TX area, she continues to write, and enjoys performing her originals, as well as looking forward to any opportunity to lead worship. She also continues vocal and guitar instruction, at her home office in Mansfield, TX, online, or at the student's location.

Vonnie is currently working on a new project with a 2022 projected release date.

She invites you to join her for a time of unforgettable music, voice, and love.
